How to Write Persuasive Speeches

Have you ever been in a situation where you want people to change their opinion about a certain topic? What you need is a persuasive speech. Persuasive speeches have changed people's opinions for years, like M.L.K.'s I Have a Dream did. Writing a persuasive speech is pretty easy, once you know what to do. To start say a statistic or some startling fact to get the readers attention. Then clearly state the topic and your point of view, also called the thesis. Voila, your introduction is finished! In your second paragraph state two or three reasons in support of your thesis from most important to lest important. Then state reasons the opposing side might be right,           then counter that, going back to why you are without a doubt correct in your thinking. Throughout the whole speech try to use good grammar and to make it sound more professional add quotes that will help prove your point. In the third paragraph, and especially when you are first mentioning your reasons in support of your thesis, use transition words. They will make your writing more fluid and easier to read. To end your speech restate the argument and the main points. Once again using sentences that will convince your readers that your opinion is definitely right. If you use these tips you will most likely have a great speech.
